La presente Norma fa parte della serie 61249 e fornisce i requisiti delle proprietà dei laminati stratificati in tessuto di vetro di tipo E epossidico non alogenato modificato, di infiammabilità definita (prova di combustione verticale), ricoperti di rame, con spessore da 0,05 mm fino a 3,2 mm.
Il grado di infiammabilità si ottiene mediante l'uso di composti di fosforo e/o ritardanti di fiamma all'idrossido di alluminio contenuti nella struttura di polimeri.
Vengono descritti materiali, modalità costruttive, proprietà elettriche e non elettriche del rivestimento in rame e le proprietà non elettriche del materiale base dopo la rimozione del rivestimento.
Sono poi trattati gli aspetti relativi al controllo di qualità, imballaggio, marcatura ed approvvigionamento.
