La presente Norma si applica ai tassametri elettronici, installati nei veicoli pubblici (taxi), i quali, per mezzo di dispositivi elettronici, calcolano ed indicano la tariffa da pagare per l’uso del taxi sulla base della distanza percorsa e del tempo impiegato.
Essa fornisce prescrizioni per la progettazione e la costruzione, descrive caratteristiche di funzionamento e proprietà generali. Sono inoltre definite le prove di tipo a cui devono essere sottoposti i tassametri elettronici, comprese le prove di compatibilità elettromagnetica.
La presente Norma non si applica a tassametri telecontrollati da un sistema esterno e non riguarda le specifiche sulla qualità di funzionamento dei tassametri dopo l’installazione o i requisiti propri dell’installazione stessa.
