Si riferisce alla sicurezza delle macchine lavastoviglie a funzionamento elettrico con convogliatore per lavare vassoi, piatti, bicchieri, posate e articoli similari con o senza mezzi per riscaldare l'acqua o per asciugare.
Tali tipi di apparecchi sono ad esempio usati in ristoranti, mense, ospedali, negozi in cui è necessario lavare utensili a contatto con il cibo, quali ad esempio panetterie e macellerie.
L'allegato CC (normativo) contiene le prescrizioni per evitare il riflusso di acqua non potabile ( sporca del lavaggio) nelle tubature di alimentazione di acqua potabile.
