La presente Norma è conforme alla Pubblicazione IEC 605-6 (1986) e normalizza metodi numerici per verificare la validità statistica dell'ipotesi di tasso di guasto costante, che è il fondamento dei metodi utilizzati nell'art. 5 della Pubblicazione IEC 605-4 (Norma CEI 56-5) e nella Pubblicazione IEC 605-7: Compliance test plans for failure rate and mean time between failures assuming constant failure rate.
