La presente Norma descrive un metodo di prova che permette di misurare, mediante l'uso di prove accelerate, l'essudazione discreta del plastificante dei cavi isolati in PVC e con guaina in PVC. Esso si utilizza nelle circostanze in cui il costruttore determina che può esserci un rischio specifico che non può essere valutato utilizzando solo norme generiche.
Questo metodo è previsto come prova qualitativa sul prodotto completo e non come prova sui singoli materiali.
