La presente edizione della Norma, allineata ai documenti CEI EN 60521, CEI EN 60514, CEI EN 60898, CEI EN 60947-3, si applica ai gruppi integrati, definiti come apparecchiature costituite da un sistema di misura dell'energia elettrica ad inserzione diretta con in serie un interruttore in una custodia unica, comprendente eventuali circuiti ausiliari atti a consentire il collegamento di una unità elettronica, responsabile di funzioni di elaborazione dati e di comunicazione bidirezionale, alloggiabile o meno all'interno della stessa custodia.
La presente Norma definisce le caratteristiche, le prescrizioni e le modalità di prova dei gruppi integrati.
Le caratteristiche, le prescrizioni e le modalità di prova relative all'unità elettronica di cui sopra non sono oggetto della presente Norma.
