La presente Norma si applica alle batterie al piombo-acido del tipo regolato con valvola per applicazioni cicliche, come ad es. in apparecchiature portatili, utensili, giocattoli ecc. ed ha lo scopo di fissare delle regole per la loro installazione in apparecchiature elettriche, indirizzate soprattutto al progettista e di fissare i requisiti minimi concernenti il tipo di informazione sulla sicurezza da trasmettere all'utilizzatore (inesperto).
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2351).
