Questa linea guida si prefigge lo scopo di fornire una base metodologica comune per lo svolgimento delle attività' di raccolta ed elaborazione dei dati affidabilistici nel settore tecnologico di riferimento, fornendo indicazioni per la raccolta dei dati anagrafici ed ingegneristici di base, nonché dei dati affidabilistici, per i seguenti componenti elettrici di potenza di centrali e stazioni AT e MT:
1) Cavi;
2) Generatori elettrici a corrente alternata;
3) Interruttori;
4) Scaricatori di sovratensione;
5) Sezionatori;
6) TA;
7) Trasformatori;
8) TV.
L'obiettivo generale della raccolta dei dati e' la costituzione di una base informativa di riferimento per l'applicazione di procedure di calcolo affidabilistico e per il supporto alla manutenzione in un'ottica di miglioramento del servizio, articolando il tutto in tre livelli cui corrispondono specifiche finalità e diversi gradi di ampiezza e dettaglio dei dati raccolti.
