Questo documento descrive un sistema di controllo dell'accesso indicato come EUROCRYPT che può essere applicato ai sistemi della famiglia MACPACKET. La funzione del sistema di controllo dell'accesso è quella di assicurare che i programmi radio e televisivi o le banche dati siano accessibili solo a quegli utenti che rispondano a determinati requisiti, generalmente relativi all'avvenuto pagamento di un canone. Per la sua applicazione al sistema D2-MAC/packet si fa riferimento al documento Ref.1.
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2323 E) alla quale è stata aggiunta come Allegato 5 la Modifica A1 alla EN 50094:1995-02.
