La presente Norma EN 50504 si applica a:
– sorgenti di saldatura ad arco;
– alimentatori di filo;
– strumentazioni di saldatura.
Essa non si applica ai dispositivi di innesco e stabilizzazione d’arco.
Per altri dispositivi che possono influenzare la qualità della saldatura ad arco, si veda la Norma EN ISO 17662.
La presente Norma specifica i metodi di validazione delle apparecchiature per la saldatura ad arco costruite secondo la Norma EN 60974-1 o secondo altre norme equivalenti. All’accuratezza di dette apparecchiature, la presente Norma fa corrispondere un grado normalizzato.
