La presente Norma si occupa degli elettrodi cilindrici in grafite, torniti e filettati per forni elettrici ad arco. Essa si applica inoltre ai raccordi in grafite da usare come colonne di grafite sui forni stessi.
La Norma fornisce:
– dimensioni e tolleranze relative alla lunghezza ed al diametro degli elettrodi in grafite
– dimensioni, tolleranze e profilo della filettatura di alloggiamento degli elettrodi e di viti di forma conica di raccordo in grafite.
Questa normalizzazione delle caratteristiche dimensionali suddette è essenziale per consentire l'intercambiabilità di elettrodi di origine diversa.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
