La presente Norma descrive i metodi di misura per stabilire le caratteristiche di funzionamento dei trasmettitori televisivi. Per la valutazione di tutte le altre caratteristiche, deve essere utilizzata unitamente alle pubblicazioni citate nell’art. 2. Va utilizzata per le prove di tipo e per i collaudi nonché per le prove in fabbrica. Non è obbligatorio misurare tutte le caratteristiche descritte. Prove supplementari possono venire effettuate previo accordo tra cliente e costruttore. Le caratteristiche di funzionamento, misurate in conformità alla presente Norma, rendono possibile il raffronto dei risultati di misure effettuate da osservatori diversi. I valori limite di funzionamento accettabile non sono contemplati; tuttavia, nella presentazione delle caratteristiche di funzionamento, alcuni dati sono riportati a titolo informativo.
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2672 E).
