La presente Norma si riferisce a un accoppiatore acustico per attribuire a una protesi acustica o amplificatore una specifica impedenza nella determinazione delle caratteristiche delle prestazioni fisiche nel campo di frequenze tra 125 Hz e 8 kHz.
E’ particolarmente adatto per apparecchi utilizzati nell’orecchio tramite appositi inserti specificamente foggiati per l’utilizzatore.
Le misure rilevate possono essere utilizzate come un mezzo semplice e rapido per lo scambio delle specifiche e i dati fisici relativi alle protesi acustiche e per la calibrazione dello specifico amplificatore interno usato in audiometria
