La presente è la Norma base per la determinazione del rumore aereo per gli apparecchi elettrici di uso domestico e similare alimentati dalla rete o a batterie.
La Norma vale anche per gli accessori e componenti degli apparecchi.
Oltre che gli apparecchi usati in ambiente domestico, la Norma vale per ambienti similari quali: bar, ristoranti, alberghi, negozi, lavanderie, ecc. Non si applica invece agli apparecchi ad esclusivo uso industriale, apparecchiature che sono parte integrante di stabili come installazioni per il condizionamento/riscaldamento, bruciatori, pompe, ecc. agli apparecchi per uso all’esterno, motori/generatori separati.
Nella Norma sono descritti metodi di precisione oggettivi per la determinazione dei livelli di potenza sonora (in dB): in particolare sono riportati due metodi a) Metodo diretto e b) Metodo di confronto.
La Norma in oggetto sostituisce completamente la Norma CEI EN 60704-1:1998-08, che rimane applicabile fino al 01-03-2013.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60704-1; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 11097E di marzo 2011, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
