La presente Norma si applica alle apparecchiature di commutazione, fornite con o senza involucro, da utilizzare in sistemi di potenza con interruzione dell'alimentazione del carico durante la commutazione, la cui tensione nominale non superi 1000 V in c.a. o 1500 V in c.c.
Essa tratta le apparecchiature di commutazione azionate manualmente, azionate a distanza e automatiche.
La presente Norma ha lo scopo di stabilire:
– le condizioni alle quali l'apparecchiatura deve essere conforme;
– le prove destinate a confermare che queste condizioni sono state soddisfatte ed i metodi per l'esecuzione di queste prove;
– i dati da marcare sull'apparecchiatura e forniti dal costruttore.
La presente Norma riporta il testo in inglese e italiano della EN 60947-6-1; rispetto al precedente fascicolo n. 8129E di febbraio 2006, essa contiene la traduzione completa della EN sopra indicata.
