La presente Norma fornisce i codici di marcatura relativi alla schermatura elettromagnetica offerta dagli involucri vuoti che vengono poi impiegati per ricoprire le apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche. Vengono inoltre date alcune prescrizioni per valutare, mediante opportune misure sperimentali di efficienza di schermatura, il grado di protezione degli involucri riguardo ai disturbi elettromagnetici nelle gamma di frequenze comprese tra 10 kHz e 40 GHz. La norma, agevolando il superamento delle prove EMC di emissione ed immunità ai disturbi elettromagnetici nella suddetta gamma di frequenze, è un utile ausilio soprattutto per i costruttori di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche.
