La presente Norma internazionale fa parte della serie IEC 61192 e definisce i requisiti generali per la lavorazione degli assiemi in cui le saldature sono realizzate tramite terminali (torrette di ancoraggio).
La Norma si applica quindi ad assiemi parzialmente o completamente saldati con connessioni tramite terminale, e si riferisce sia ad assiemi a montaggio superficiale che a quelli con altre tecniche di montaggio (fori passanti, ecc.).
La presente Norma particolare è da usarsi congiuntamente alla Parte generale EN 61192-1 che riporta le definizioni basilari e le linee guida.
