La Norma si applica ai DISPOSITIVI PER LA VISUALIZZAZIONE DELLE IMMAGINI utilizzati nei sistemi di diagnostica per immagini tali come: radiografia digitale; angiografia a sottrazione digitale; TOMOGRAFIA COMPUTERIZZATA; produzione di immagini per risonanza magnetica; apparecchi di diagnostica a ultrasuoni; MEDICINA NUCLEARE. La presente Norma non si applica ai monitor video utilizzati nei sistemi a RADIOSCOPIA INDIRETTA. La presente Parte della EN 61223 definisce: i parametri funzionali che descrivono o influenzano le prestazioni dei suddetti componenti dei sistemi di diagnostica per immagini; e metodi di verifica che le variazioni nelle quantità misurate riferite a quei parametri siano entro limiti accettabili, in modo da mantenere dei livelli adeguati di immagini evitando, nel caso di apparecchi radiologici, indebita irradiazione del paziente. La presente Norma non tratta di: aspetti di sicurezza meccanica ed elettrica; ottimizzazione delle caratteristiche dell’immagine.
La presente Norma costituisce la ristampa senza modifiche, secondo il nuovo progetto di veste editoriale, della Norma pari numero ed edizione (Fascicolo 2530 E).
