La presente Norma fornisce indicazioni per l'utilizzazione dei filtri armonici passivi in in corrente alternata e dei condensatori per la limitazione delle armoniche e per la correzione del fattore di potenza impiegati nelle applicazioni industriali, a bassa e ad alta tensione. Le disposizioni contenute sono applicabili alle armoniche il cui ordine sia maggiore di 1 e inferiore o uguale a 25. Scopo della Norma è di identificare i problemi e fornire raccomandazioni per le applicazioni generali dei condensatori ed i filtri di armoniche nelle reti di energia in corrente alternata affette dalla presenza di tensioni e di correnti armoniche.
