La presente Norma descrive un metodo di prova per la determinazione della corrente critica in continua di superconduttori compositi in Cu/Nb-Ti oppure di fili Cu/Cu-Ni/Nb-Ti.
Questo metodo si applica ai superconduttori aventi correnti critiche inferiori ai 1 000 A e valori n superiori a 12.
Il metodo può essere utilizzato anche per conduttori con correnti critiche superiori a 1 000 A ma, in tal caso, è associato ad una maggiore incertezza di misura.
Il presente documento, rispetto alla precedente edizione, include, tra le altre, le seguenti modifiche principali:
– aggiunto l'Allegato C (normativo) contenente il metodo di prova per superconduttori compositi Cu/Cu-Ni/Nb-Ti;
– aggiunto l'Allegato D (informativo) sulla stima della forza di trazione dei campioni;
– adeguate le espressioni contenenti "precisione" ed "accuratezza" al nuovo approccio all'incertezza di misura;
– ristretto l'intervallo di uniformità del campo magnetico.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
La presente Norma recepisce il testo originale inglese della Pubblicazione IEC e pertanto consta delle sole pagine dispari.
