La presente Norma descrive un metodo di prova utilizzato per la misura della corrente continua critica di superconduttori compositi Nb3Sn.
Il metodo si applica ai superconduttori aventi correnti critiche inferiori ai 1 000 A e valori n superiori a 12.
Il metodo può essere utilizzato anche per conduttori con correnti critiche superiori a 1 000 A ma, in tal caso, è associato ad una maggiore incertezza di misura.
La principale differenza rispetto alla precedente edizione della Norma consiste nell’aggiunta dell’Allegato D che descrive il metodo del mandrino.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
La presente Norma recepisce il testo originale inglese della Pubblicazione IEC e pertanto consta delle sole pagine dispari.
