La presente Norma fa parte della serie IEC/EN 62132 riguardante i circuiti integrati ed in particolare si occupa di un metodo di misura per l'immunità dei circuiti integrati.
La Norma descrive un metodo di prova ad iniezione di corrente complessiva (BCI) per misurare l'immunità dei circuiti integrati in presenza di disturbi condotti alle radiofrequenze (RF) quali ad esempio i disturbi RF irradiati.
La caratterizzazione dell'immunità alle RF (o suscettibilità) di un circuito integrato è essenziale ai fini di avere una progettazione ottimale dei circuiti stampati, di definire bene i filtri e di avere una buona integrazione in un sistema elettronico.
Questo metodo si applica solamente ai circuiti integrati con circuiti di collegamenti esterni per esempio in un cablaggio.
Il metodo usato è quello di iniettare corrente a Radiofrequenza in un circuito o in una combinazione di circuiti.
Questa Norma definisce una base comune per la valutazione dei dispositivi a semiconduttore montati in apparecchiature usate in ambienti soggetti a segnali elettromagnetici indesiderati a radiofrequenza.
Questa Norma viene pubblicata dal CEI nella sola lingua inglese in quanto particolarmente mirata a settori specialistici.
