Preface
This is the twelfth edition of CSA B137.0, Definitions, general requirements, and methods of testing for thermoplastic pressure piping. It supersedes the previous editions published in 2020, 2017, 2013, 2009, 2005, 2002, 1999, 1993, 1986, 1981, and 1973.
CSA B137.0 provides requirements and test methods that are common to some or all of the Standards of the CSA B137 Series. Wherever possible, individual Standards make reference to the relevant clauses in CSA B137.0.
The major changes to this edition include
a) revision to humidity tolerances;
b) revision to chemical resistance test; and
c) revisions to Clause 6.6for hydrostatic sustained pressure test, including
i) additional reference standards and additional details for testing and analysis;
ii) new clause 6.6.3.5 for compounds;
iii) revision to Clause 6.6.4.1.2 for PE-RT compound validation; and
iv) revision to Clause 6.6.4.
This Standard is considered suitable for use for conformity assessment within the stated scope of the Standard.

CSA B137.1:23 – Polyethylene (PE) pipe, tubing, and fittings for cold-water pressure services
Preface
This is the twelfth edition of CSA B137.1, Polyethylene (PE) pipe, tubing, and fittings for cold-water pressure services. It supersedes the previous editions published in 2020, 2017, 2013, 2009, 2005, 2002, 1999, 1995, 1989, 1983, and 1970.
This Standard is to be used with the 2023 edition of CSA B137.0, which provides requirements and test methods that are common to some or all of the Standards of the CSA B137 series.
The following are the major changes to this edition:
a) revised the scope for clarification;
b) removed PE 1704, PE 2606, PE 3708, PE 3710, PE 4608, and PE 4708 compounds;
c) added PE 2708 PLUS compounds;
d) added DR-Based pipe classification and design;
e) added pipe sizes up to NPS-65 for DR-Based pipe;
f) moved carbon black dispersion requirement from Clauses 4 to 5;
g) added apparent tensile strength test for pipe sizes above NPS-4;
h) added out-of-roundness and ovality requirements;
i) added inside surface ductility requirement;
j) added pipe sampling and testing requirements;
k) added potable water requirement; and
l) revised the pipe and tubing marking requirements.
This Standard is considered suitable for use for conformity assessment within the stated scope of the Standard.
